Sweating Too Much
"How to Stop Underarm Sweating Once and for All"
My Story of How I Dealt with Excessive Sweating by Brittany Hughes
I was so excited. I was chosen for National Honor Society. I really worked hard to get this. Last year I almost made it, but my grade point average came up just .05 short. Can you believe it? Well, this year I vowed to make it happen. When I got the letter in the mail, my hand was just shaking. I opened it and I about shot through the ceiling. How cool was this? It’s not so much about the honor, but the journey I took to get there. When I got to school the next day there was another surprise in store for me. Mrs. Havegaard called me into her English Room, and told me some awesome news…I was picked to MC the National Honor Society Awards Banquet. Wow, I couldn’t believe it.
My Problem…Revealed
When she told me, I felt my face flush. Then I felt the sensation that had grown all too familiar to me. Tiny little drops of perspiration started to form under my arms. Then it happened like it did a thousand times before. My armpits just started to gush. I just could not stop it. I am sure Mrs. Havegaard couldn’t see a thing, because I was armed with my standard arsenal of defenses. I always came to school wearing two t-shirts, and I top it with an oversized button up shirt.
I thanked Mrs. Havegaard and set off for my accounting class down the hall, making a much-needed pit stop in the girl’s room. I performed my routine like a surgeon. My backpack provided me with all the necessary tools: tissues, wipes, deodorant, and body spray. This was a real killer episode. So I had to bust out the heavy artillery, my underarm pads.
When I got home, I couldn’t wait to tell my Mom and Dad the news. As I was about to open the side door where I come in, my nerves started up and my armpits started to sweat with their normal ferocity. This was supposed to be one of the best days of my life, and all I could think about was my sweaty armpits. I was so good at covering it up. My underarm sweat glands must be monstrous! Well, my Mom and Dad were sure proud of me, and my acting job was a good cover for my excessive sweating. I thanked them for their support, and headed to the upstairs bathroom to take my third shower of the day. I got in and out of the shower in no time (you get pretty speedy when you take as many showers as I do) and dried off. When I was dried off, it happened again. The perspiration came back as fast as I could dry it.

I really wish I could stop my underarm sweating. I wish I could tell my Mom and Dad about my problem too. I was just way too embarrassed. I also was worried that there might be something seriously wrong with me. As I look back on it now, I know I made a big mistake. I should have confided in my Mom for sure. It’s easier to say that now, but at the time it was the worst.
Here We Go
Well, the big day finally arrived. It was the day for the big induction ceremonies. I couldn’t believe this day finally came. It was Monday, May 5th. It was a nice, and crystal clear day. Temperatures were only going to be in the low 50’s. This would sure help my sweating problem. I was psyched!! My mom got me a new outfit. It was kind of a linen suit. When I put it on I felt like a businesswoman going to work on Wall Street. Then I got all-nervous. So I made advanced plans to cover up my sweating. I wore a kind of tailored blouse under the jacket, but I put on my best deodorant, plenty of powder, body spray, 2 t-shirts underneath my blouse, and my thickest underarm pads. I was ready, or so I thought, for action.
Show Time
We got to school, and to the auditorium, with plenty of time to spare. This gave me a chance to go over my notes, and adjust my notecards for what I was going to say while introducing the guests, and the students to be inducted. Everyone got lined up at about 6:45. I was the first one to take the stage (great position huh), followed by Principle Taylor, and Mrs. Havegaard.
When everyone took their places, I moved to the podium. I was so focused, and I tried my hardest to stay relaxed. I did my introduction and welcomed everyone, and then I turned it over to Mrs. H., and took my seat. After I sat down I did a personal inventory. Everything was holding up. My pads under my arm were kind of wet and it was only leaking a bit onto by first layer of t-shirt. I can do this.
Things were going along pretty quickly, or so it seemed. I got up to introduce our special guest and speaker, Congresswoman Hayes, our state senator. I was about halfway through my intro when I felt that familiar dripping from my underarms. It was happening. I did all I could to concentrate on my words, but I knew I was going to have to speed things up. I turned the program over to Senator Hayes and rushed to my seat.
Once there I looked at my jacket. My once pristine ‘dressed for success’ blue jacket was drenched from the armpit to the seam. What was I going to do? Fortunately it was a darker color, but it was visible to everyone. I don’t remember much of the details of the night. My head was spinning. I was mortified. The main thing that I remember was how hard I tried to keep my arms pinned to my side in a feeble effort to cover the wet spots.
Embarrassed Beyond Belief
When we all got home, I wanted to just rush upstairs to my room, but I knew I had to confront this demon that was overtaking me. I sat down in the puffy leather chair in our living room (this was the safest one to sit on for wetness sake). My Dad said I did a really nice job as the MC. I thanked him, and blurted out, "I don’t know what’s wrong with me." We had a pretty good talk. I added a lot of tears to my other perspiration. The bottom line was we were going to go to the Doctor for help with my problem.
I sure don’t know how I faced my classmates the next day in school, but it wasn’t quite as bad as I made out in my mind. Then again I had my old reliable of dressing in layers to hide my sweating.
Getting Help for my Sweating Problem
It was Thursday when I went after school to Dr. Anderson’s office on the Eastside. My Mom met me there. We waited in what seemed to be a super hot waiting room for about 20 minutes. I had a chance to tell my Mom that I was kind of scared about this, but I really wanted some relief. We met with the Doctor, a really nice guy, who looked like Doogie Howser (probably about the same age as the old show). He examined me, and diagnosed me with having hyperhidrosis, a condition that causes excessive sweating because of a high concentration of sweat glands. I was relieved to a degree. He prescribed some special deodorant, and Oxybutynin, an anticholinergic drug.
Still no Relief
I was doing just as the Doc said. It had been about a week, and I just don’t know. It wasn’t really working. I was doing what they said, but I was perspiring just as much as before (maybe even more). I was also experiencing some bad side effects from the drugs. They were making me super tired, and my mouth was as dry as cotton. What should I do? I told my Dad that I think we need to go back to the Doctor. He thought we should wait a little bit longer to see if the prescriptions were working. Then I got a call from my friend Kate. She told me about a new remedy that she had read about on the web called "Stop Sweating and Start Living."
Well the name sounded good, but I was a bit skeptical. I had seen almost everything out there. I had done a lot of reading since my Doctor’s appointment. I was even contemplating Botox treatments. I know they help, but they are really expensive, and only last about 6 months. I thought I would look into the "Stop Sweating and Start Living" program. I had nothing to loose right?
My Dad ordered the program for me. I was excited. The cool thing about it was it did not cost that much and it uses inexpensive products that are safe and readily available. Could this be true?
I really need to be totally honest. It didn’t really work the first day like some had said, but by day three I was noticing a big difference. After about 3 weeks, I was doing great. I was dry for the first time in years. Unbelievable!!!! I had really been through a lot. I had been suffering from my problem for years. Isn’t it great to finally come up with a solution? Just think, I solved my problem with this natural cure!!! I can’t wait for summer. I might even be able to wear a sleeveless shirt, without the fear of not dressing in layers.

So, if you suffer from excessive sweating, and you want to stop armpit sweat, I would urge you to get the “Stop Sweating and Start Living” program. It works. Don’t let another embarrassing day pass you by like me. My only regret is that I did not start it earlier. Like my journey to get to National Honor Society, my road to controlling my hyperhidrosis was long. I am just so happy I got to both places. Stop Sweating and Start Living NOW!!!
I wish you all the best,
Brittany
P.S. I have included some other people’s testimonials about the product. They suffered just like I did. I’m so glad this is helping them, and I hope it helps you too!!
"As easy as brushing your teeth"
I would start sweating right after getting out of the shower and my shirt would be wet as soon as I put it on. I couldn’t figure out what was wrong with me.
Your cure sounded too good to be true. Nothing in life is ever that easy. Like most of these things, I figured there would be some kind of catch.
But you delivered on your promise and I’m so glad you did. It really is as easy as brushing your teeth.
I started noticing a big difference after the third day - and I think it was around the tenth day that I realized it was gone. It was really "no sweat"

"Cured and confident"
Just like others I read about on your website I too was a prisoner of always wearing black because it didn’t show sweat as bad. I tried many temporary fixes but of course they never worked. This is so easy and so inexpensive! I could tell a big difference within just the first few days. I’m so excited that I don’t have to pay attention to what clothes I wear or buy anymore … I can wear anything and it won’t matter because the problem is gone. Shopping is fun again!! Thanks for discovering this simple and easy cure.

"Started working the next day"
I was so excited to find your book. I’m even more excited now. I wore black almost every day because it doesn’t show the sweat marks as bad, and doesn’t stain as bad.
I’m going to wear a white shirt tomorrow for the first time in years! I’m only on day 5 and the sweating is gone. Thank you so much.
